The Brand
A deep-content magazine brand for young people in the UK — news, current affairs, lifestyle, health and culture — under the slogan «In depth for the youth». The system spans a responsive Wix website (Home / Opinions / Spectrums / Subscription / About / Contact, with on-site search and a Wix Space membership app), the print magazine, a media pack and desktop/tablet/mobile UI.
The Magazine
Cover (2024.01): a quarter-width margin column carrying the masthead and wordmark, with a full-bleed backlit street photograph — modern documentary, editorial-magazine style.
Issue 12 (Dec 2024, £4.99, 12 pp): National Youth Strategy explained, the Nightsafe youth-homelessness feature, the assisted-dying bill, opinion pieces, and the Impostor Syndrome first-person feature signed by me (p. 11); back-cover subscription tiers, with cover photography mine. The media pack (10 pp) carries the brand positioning, sections and rate card: 45K+ paid copies per issue, 100K+ subscriptions, 1M monthly site visits, 81% UK-based readership, average age 23.
My Role
I led the overall brand concept and completed the full visual system — the website, the magazine layouts and the media pack — integrating website, PDF and print into one interlinked brand expression. My teammates were primarily editorial; I also wrote two signed pieces in Issue 12 (the cost-of-living / Get Britain Working comment, p. 8, and Impostor Syndrome, p. 11) and shot several photographs used in the issue.
